I Heart Photograph the other day. Comprised of appropriated stills from found video footage, the images from this project explore the nature of relational power expressed through a variety of gestural handshakes. By cropping out the identities of his subjects Van Den Berghe depersonalizes these found moments and emphasizes their archetypal nature instead.
